Hard for Kids e. V. – Giving hope to children
Even though the association “Hard for Kids e. V.”* from Mülheim an der Ruhr is still young, its mission is one of human greatness and warmth: to support children with cancer and their families during one of the most difficult phases of their lives. Especially at this time, the association's goal is to give hope so that it does not become a scarce commodity.

Through their projects, the members of the association bring moments of happiness to children and their families. They do so in an unbureaucratic, approachable, and creative manner. Their activities range from charity and music events to visits to hospitals and hospices to providing concrete financial support in the form of emergency aid for affected families. (* e. V. stands for “eingetragener Verein” = non-profit registered organization)
In an interview with the WAZ newspaper, Melanie Webels, the association's vice-chairwoman, explains that there is ‘a lot to do’. For example, it is often difficult for the children's parents to find accommodation close to where their children are receiving treatment. This is where the association provides direct and immediate help.

In order to enable the association to carry out its dedicated work for children with cancer and implement its first projects, we want to give it a strong start. For this reason, this year's Christmas donation will go to Hard for Kids e.V.
For many years, FRAGOL AG has chosen not to give Christmas gifts or cards, instead supporting a different charitable organisation each year. For us, this tradition is a symbol of responsibility and solidarity, and this year it represents an investment in hope for the children.
